John A. Gram receives Justice Robert Benham Award
On January 29, 2008, WDJW partner John A. Gram will receive the Justice Robert Benham Award for Community Service from the State Bar of Georgia and the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism. Since 1998, these awards have been presented by the Bar to honor lawyers and judges in Georgia who have made significant contributions to their communities and thereby demonstrate the positive contributions of members of the Bar beyond their legal or official work.
John’s service to our community is remarkable and he is truly deserving of this award. John currently serves on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County and the Salvation Army. For over twenty years, he has served on the board of Challenged Child and Friends. He is the Vice President of the Good News Clinics. In addition, he has served two terms as chair of the Board of the Gainesville State College Foundation, on its Investment Committee, and is now an Honorary Lifetime Trustee. John led the Healthy Hall Partnership, a network of agencies that effectively addressed the health of local residents. He is a member of the Hall County Chamber of Commerce and of the Medical Center Foundation Legacy Circle for which he serves on the Planned Gifts Committee. In the past, John has served on the boards of Friends of the Park and the North Georgia Community Foundation. Also, John is a past president of the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association.
