John Jarrard, brother of Tom Jarrard, to be inducted into Georgia Music Hall of Fame

Tuesday June 22, 2010

On September 11, 2010, Gainesville native and songwriter John Jarrard will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. John Jarrard wrote 11 No. 1 hits before his untimely passing in 2001. John was a brother of our firm's beloved Tom Jarrard, who passed away in 2007.

John Jarrard wrote songs for country music stars George Strait, Diamond Rio and Tracy Lawrence. In September, he will officially stand alongside other famous Georgia music greats--like R.E.M., Ray Charles and the Allman Brothers Band. What an honor for the Jarrard family and Gainesville. We celebrate with many others on this well-deserved recognition.
